Meet Our Team
Paul D. Gormas MBA, CSSMBB, SPHR – BPG President & CEO
Paul has over 45 years of professional business experience, 32 in industry and 13 in consulting and training. His industry experience includes Fortune 500 and privately held companies in manufacturing, service, retailing, government and healthcare. Paul has held positions in IT, Production Management and 25 years heading up both Human Resources and Process Improvement. He was the VP of Human Resources at Robbins, Inc. for 8 years. As a consultant and trainer Paul has worked with over 30 client companies and has conducted dozens of training programs representing all industries. Aside from public classes and corporate training, Paul conducts training through Xavier University, Wright State University and BPG.
Paul has a BA in Economics from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati. He is a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Paul also has certifications in Lean Manufacturing/Enterprise, Human Systems for Lean and has the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification.
Tasos Georgopoulos MBA, CSSBB – BPG Director, Strategy, Development & Consulting
Tasos has over 25 years of professional business experience working with organizations in the food, consumer packaged goods (CPG) and medical device industries. He has held management positions in corporate finance, global brand management and product platform development for Fortune 500 companies as well as privately held organizations, including Gibson Greetings, H.J. Heinz, Ossur, Maple Leaf Farms and AdvancePierre Foods. Tasos has over 10 years of consulting experience having worked with over 16 client companies improving effectiveness and profitability in the areas of brand/product marketing, product development/innovation processes, business development strategy, customer insights, corporate strategy, supply chain and customer service market research. Aside from public classes and corporate training, Tasos conducts training through Wright State University and Breakthrough Performance Group.
Tasos has a B.S. in Finance and a Minor in Decision Science from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from Xavier University with a specialization in Marketing and International Business. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Gold Practitioner and teaches many process improvement classes for BPG.
Daryl Gunnarson PMP, OPM3 Assessor, CSSBB – BPG PMP Instructor
Daryl has over 34 years of professional business experience, 33 in industry and 15 in consulting and training. His industry experience was all with Procter & Gamble where he spent 18 years in Production Management and 14 years in Innovation / Project Management. Daryl led or was significantly involved in developing many of the PMO systems currently used across P&G. He has led many multi-million dollar projects and has consulted on Innovation with every business within P&G as well as companies outside P&G. He has also trained over a 1000 people and loves making things come alive for people.
Daryl has a BA in Civil Engineering and a BA in Geology from Montana State University He is a Certified PMP, PMI OPM3 Assessor, and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. He leads all PMP Exam prep classes from BPG.
Chris has been involved in quality since 1986 and held roles as a quality manager for several pharmaceutical and manufacturing organizations. He has been involved in Lean Six Sigma since 1997 when he was certified as a Black Belt for International Truck and Engine (Navistar) in Springfield. He completed his Master Black Belt certification in 2001 and has been a part of the Lean Six Sigma deployment teams for several organizations. In addition he has trained and mentored over 750 associates and leaders in process improvement and has facilitated improvement projects worth over 11 million dollars in hard savings. His improvement background includes manufacturing, healthcare, insurance, medical devices and banking.
Chris has a BS in Chemistry from Purdue University and is certified in Six Sigma, Lean Enterprise, Rapid Improvement, Change Management and Process Design for Six Sigma.
Mark has over 26 years of broad business management experience, including senior management roles, strategic planning, change management, business turnarounds, process improvement, product manager, product launches and various sales roles. Prior experience includes President of United Fiberglass of America, Inc., Business Consulting, 11 years in management, operations and sales roles with VaxServe, Sanofi Pasteur and NCR. Mark enjoys working with business owners and management teams to discover their best business practices and implement operational and market place improvements while developing personnel.
Mark is well read and has a Bachelor of Science, Marketing from Wright State University, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Gold Practitioner, and a Graduate of the Leadership Development Course from the Center for Creative LeadershipTraining.
Roy Miller has 15 years of experience in Lean Six-Sigma. In his early experiences, he studied under Japanese mentors from Shingijutsu, Inc. and facilitated several Kaizen projects on factory floors. From his extensive work in process modeling, either for new computer systems or reverse engineered legacy code, he has used the Lean, Six-Sigma techniques from the factory floor to make major improvements in throughput and capacity and transform As-Is logic and processes into To-Be designs that users readily accept. As a Project Manager he has repeatedly led computer systems projects – infrastructure and code, from design to development to test and deployment. Roy’s work experience includes companies such as Process-Based Systems, RealMed Corporation, Liberty Mutual, Citigroup, Nationwide Insurance, Chemical Abstract Services and Huntington Bank.
Roy has a Bachelors Degree in Physics from the University of Cincinnati as well as a Masters Degree in Physics from Miami University, Oxford, OH and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University
