Cincinnati (Remote Learning) Lean Gold Practitioner

LEAN is a systematic, continuous improvement approach which drives value to the customer through flow improvement and by eliminating unnecessary or “non-value added” processes.

This 3-day Course Covers: Introduction to VSM (Value Stream Mapping), 5S, Kaizen, 3P (Production Preparation Process), Cell Manufacturing, Jidoka, Lean Manufacturing, Pull Manufacturing, Mistake-Proofing, Quick Changeover TOC (Theory of Constraints).

Attendees Will Learn:

• Lean enterprise focuses on eliminating waste in processes (i.e. the waste of work in progress and finished goods inventories)
• Lean enterprise is not about eliminating people
• Lean enterprise is about expanding capacity by reducing costs and shortening cycle times between order and ship date
• Lean is about understanding what is important to the customer

In-Class Exercise: Students will work as teams to identify a measurable performance issue and work through the DMAIC process to identify solutions and develop an implementation plan.  Each team will report out on their project to the class.

Classroom Time: 21 Hours  (21 PDU’s are awarded)  Days and times vary. Please see the date below for exact days and times.
